Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a UPS package delivery vehicle in various weather conditions.
- Efficiently deliver and pick up packages on a scheduled route within Carmel, IN.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring accurate and courteous service.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including package scans.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Inspect vehicle daily and report any mechanical issues.
- Sort and load packages onto the delivery vehicle according to route sequence.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring their integrity from pickup to delivery.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to lift, lower, and carry packages up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with local streets and navigation (GPS literacy).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery driving or a related field (e.g., courier, transportation).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to meet DOT physical and drug screen requirements.
