Job Description
We are seeking an immediately available and highly motivated Shopify Developer to join our dynamic e-commerce team in North Vancouver. This is an urgent hire to support critical projects and enhance our online shopping experience. You will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our Shopify Plus stores, implementing custom themes, features, and third-party integrations. This role requires a proactive individual ready to hit the ground running and contribute to our fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes and apps using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Implement third-party integrations and APIs to enhance store functionality and user experience.
- Optimize website performance, responsiveness, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other developers to deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Shopify platform, themes, and apps.
- Ensure all development efforts are aligned with best practices, coding standards, and SEO principles.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, JSON templating).
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Shopify API integrations and webhooks.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify Plus.
- Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
- Familiarity with headless commerce architectures.
- Experience with performance optimization tools and techniques.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
