Job Description

Join Dunelm as a Wall Art Mounting Specialist, where your craftsmanship will bring our frames and mirrors to life. This hands-on role involves precision assembly, mounting, and finishing of various wall art products. You will ensure every piece meets our high standards for quality, aesthetics, and structural integrity before it reaches our customers. Ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a steady hand, and a passion for creating beautiful home decor items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately assemble and mount framed artwork, canvases, and mirrors according to design specifications.
  • Ensure all mounting hardware (hooks, wires, D-rings) is securely attached and correctly positioned.
  • Inspect finished products for flaws, scratches, or imperfections, performing necessary touch-ups or rework.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all company safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory of mounting materials and report needs for replenishment.
  • Collaborate with quality control and dispatch teams to ensure timely and damage-free delivery.
  • Handle various materials including wood, metal, glass, and acrylic with care and expertise.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in art framing, mirror assembly, or a similar precision craft role.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to framing and mounting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver various sizes and weights of frames and mirrors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal training or certification in carpentry, joinery, or fine art conservation/framing.
  • Experience with different types of glazing and matting techniques.
  • Knowledge of art handling and conservation best practices.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating similar warehouse equipment (for larger items).
