Job Description
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service in a high-end setting? Embassy Suites by Hilton Kansas City Overland Park is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented Weekend Banquet Servers to join our team for luxury wedding events. This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of joyous celebrations, ensuring every guest experiences flawless service. This position requires availability on weekends and holidays, with shifts typically lasting 4-8 hours depending on event schedules. Key Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and décor.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner, following established service standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests promptly and courteously.
- Clear tables efficiently and discreetly during events.
- Assist with the breakdown of banquet rooms post-event, ensuring all items are properly stored.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet equipment and storage areas.
- Work collaboratively with the banquet team, kitchen staff, and event planners to ensure seamless execution.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handle glassware, china, and cutlery with care to minimize breakage.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in food service or hospitality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Reliable and punctual, with consistent weekend availability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in banquet or fine dining service, especially for weddings or luxury events.
- Knowledge of various food and beverage service styles.
- Basic understanding of wine and cocktail service.
- Ability to read and understand banquet event orders (BEOs).
