Job Description
Are you a student looking for a flexible weekend role to fit around your studies? Marks & Spencer in Clifton, York, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Weekend Retail Assistants to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable customer service experience, develop retail skills, and earn money in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and helpful attitude, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the sales floor, changing rooms, and stock areas.
- Replenish stock on shelves, ensuring products are displayed attractively and priced correctly.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve minor issues or escalate them to management when necessary.
- Support inventory management, including receiving deliveries and organizing stockrooms.
- Promote special offers and loyalty programs to customers.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and security procedures.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Reliability and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
