Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented WFH Data Entry: Payroll Admin to join our remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll data for our employees across various departments. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. You will be responsible for inputting and verifying payroll information, assisting with payroll inquiries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. This is a 100% remote position offering stable income and the flexibility of working from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and process employee payroll data, including hours, deductions, and new hires.
  • Verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness before processing.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll information.
  • Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, provincial, and company payroll regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end tax documents (e.g., T4s).
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in data entry and payroll administration.
  • Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS (e.g., ADP, Workday).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with large-scale payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with Canadian labor laws and tax regulations.
