Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Remote Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the virtual front face of Rogers Communications, managing inbound and outbound calls, directing inquiries, and providing administrative support from a remote setting. This position is ideal for individuals who are highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and are comfortable utilizing various computer applications for call management and task coordination. Stability and a strong work ethic are paramount for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls using VoIP systems and dedicated software.
- Professionally greet callers, identify their needs, and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Manage and maintain appointment schedules and calendars for various teams.
- Provide basic information about company services and escalate complex inquiries to specialized support teams.
- Perform data entry, update customer records, and maintain accurate call logs.
- Manage virtual mailboxes and respond to general email inquiries.
- Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as needed, all conducted remotely.
- Ensure a professional and stable home office environment conducive to focused work and clear communication.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using computer-based phone systems (VoIP) and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced virtual environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated home workspace.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a remote customer service, administrative, or receptionist role.
- Familiarity with CRM software and ticketing systems.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
