Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SpaceTech Engineering Intern to join our Satellite Development team in Brooklyn, NY. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of next-generation satellite systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers on critical projects, contributing to real-world space missions and learning invaluable skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of satellite subsystems, including power, propulsion, and communication.
- Support the integration and testing of hardware and software components for satellite prototypes.
- Conduct data analysis and simulation to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the documentation of design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with senior engineers on various project tasks.
- Research new technologies and methodologies to enhance satellite capabilities and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of orbital mechanics and satellite systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or project experience related to aerospace, robotics, or complex systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or C++.
- Knowledge of space environment effects on spacecraft.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and data acquisition systems.
- Active participation in relevant extracurricular activities or student design competitions.
