Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Solar Maintenance Labourer to join our growing team in Glasgow. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our solar energy installations across the region. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, assisting with repairs, and ensuring the cleanliness and optimal functionality of solar panels and associated equipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and inspection of solar panels to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Assist skilled technicians with the diagnosis and repair of solar energy system components.
  • Conduct visual inspections of solar arrays, wiring, and support structures for wear or damage.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of maintenance activities and issues encountered.
  • Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Support site preparation and demobilisation activities as required.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals and project deadlines.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to lift up to 25kg.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols for working at heights and with electrical equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Valid UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a labourer, construction, or maintenance role.
  • Experience working with solar PV systems or other renewable energy technologies.
  • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, Manual Handling).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
