Job Description
Are you ready to kickstart your career in logistics with a global leader? FedEx Ground is seeking enthusiastic and organized individuals for an Entry Level Dispatch Support role. This position is perfect for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment, providing crucial support to our dispatch operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of our package delivery services, working closely with drivers and operations teams. Shift differentials apply, offering enhanced compensation for certain shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dispatchers with daily operational tasks and communications.
- Monitor driver routes and schedules, providing updates as needed.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments.
- Resolve minor operational issues and escalate complex problems to senior dispatch personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and driver logs.
- Utilize dispatch software and tools efficiently to support operations.
- Respond to inbound calls and emails from drivers and internal teams.
- Prepare daily reports on dispatch performance and route completion.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role.
