Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Educational Output Verifier with a strong focus on remote learning materials. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and instructional effectiveness of our digital educational content designed for remote environments. You will play a vital part in maintaining Pearson’s high standards for learning materials, identifying discrepancies, and working collaboratively with content creators to implement necessary corrections. This position requires an eye for detail, a deep understanding of pedagogical principles, and a commitment to enhancing the remote learning experience for students globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review and verify educational content, including digital courses, interactive modules, assessments, and multimedia resources, specifically for remote learning platforms.
  • Identify and document errors in factual accuracy, grammar, spelling, formatting, and instructional flow.
  • Assess content against established pedagogical guidelines and learning objectives to ensure clarity, engagement, and effectiveness for remote learners.
  • Provide constructive feedback to content development teams, instructional designers, and subject matter experts.
  • Ensure all content adheres to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) for diverse remote learners.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to refine verification processes and tools.
  • Maintain detailed records of verified content and identified issues.
  • Stay updated on best practices in remote education and digital content delivery.
  • Participate in pilot programs and user acceptance testing for new remote learning products.

Required Skills

  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with digital learning platforms and content management systems.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies and common digital content formats (e.g., SCORM, HTML, video).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Familiarity with educational content development lifecycles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in educational content verification, proofreading, or quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) for digital content.
  • Experience with instructional design principles, particularly for remote or blended learning.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
