Job Description
As an Executive Aide focused on Tech Industry Benefits at Shopify, you will play a crucial role in supporting our senior leadership while specializing in the administration and communication of our comprehensive employee benefits programs. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, a proactive approach, and a deep understanding of the unique benefits landscape within the technology sector. You will ensure seamless operations, manage sensitive information with discretion, and contribute directly to the well-being and satisfaction of our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to assigned executives, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
- Act as a primary point of contact for inquiries related to tech industry benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Assist in the research, analysis, and implementation of new or updated employee benefits programs, staying current with industry trends.
- Coordinate and prepare presentations, reports, and communications for executive meetings and benefit-related announcements.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and company information with the utmost discretion.
- Manage and organize digital and physical files, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance.
- Facilitate communication between executives and internal/external stakeholders.
- Support special projects and initiatives as directed by the executive team.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of executive administrative support experience.
- Proven experience with HR systems or benefits administration platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar).
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- High level of professionalism and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Prior experience in the technology industry.
- Knowledge of Canadian employee benefits regulations and best practices.
- Experience with project coordination.
