Job Description
We are immediately seeking dedicated and reliable Local Delivery Drivers to join our FedEx Express team in Costa Mesa, CA. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up packages on an assigned route.
- Manage time and routes efficiently to meet daily delivery schedules.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting professionally with recipients.
- Scan and document package information accurately using handheld devices.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (Class C or equivalent, as required by state law).
- Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in delivery driving or a related field.
- Familiarity with local Costa Mesa and surrounding Orange County routes.
- Experience using handheld scanning devices.
