Job Description
Join Google as a User Experience Aide focusing on interface testing, a critical component of our product development cycle. In this 100% remote role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the quality, usability, and intuitiveness of our various digital interfaces. You will work closely with UX designers, researchers, and engineers to identify bugs, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement, contributing directly to a seamless user experience across Google products. Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test plans for user interfaces across web, mobile, and other platforms.
- Identify, document, and report UI/UX bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues using standard bug tracking tools.
- Provide constructive feedback on design prototypes and implemented features from a user perspective.
- Collaborate with UX designers and engineers to understand design specifications and user flows.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions and assist with data collection.
- Maintain clear and concise documentation of test cases and findings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle UI/UX discrepancies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and browser environments.
- Basic understanding of user experience principles and interface design.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Proficiency in using common office and collaboration software (e.g., Google Workspace).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in quality assurance, user testing, or a related field (even voluntary/academic).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, or basic front-end development concepts.
- Enrollment in or completion of a degree program in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with accessibility testing.
