Job Description
Are you passionate about working with children and looking for a flexible role? David Lloyd Clubs in Woking is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gym Childcare Attendant to join our dynamic team. In this casual position, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children while their parents enjoy our club’s facilities. This role is perfect for someone seeking flexible hours, potentially during school terms, evenings, or weekends, to fit around other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children in the crèche area, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Organise and lead engaging age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating play environment.
- Communicate effectively and positively with children, parents, and fellow team members.
- Adhere to all club policies and procedures, especially those related to child protection and safety.
- Assist with basic care needs such as toileting and feeding, where necessary.
- Report any concerns or incidents to the Crèche Manager promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience working with children aged 0-8 years.
- A genuine passion for childcare and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
- Up-to-date DBS/CRB check (or willingness to obtain one).
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or a related field.
- Current Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Experience in a nursery, pre-school, or similar childcare setting.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection regulations.
