Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to join our dynamic team in Montreal. This critical role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our robust IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of modern IT environments, capable of driving strategic initiatives and managing a team of dedicated professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT infrastructure engineers and specialists.
- Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of all IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure system security, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) for external IT services and hardware/software procurement.
- Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with other IT departments and business units to align infrastructure initiatives with overall company goals.
- Manage the IT infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal security standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, routing, and switching.
- Expertise in server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Project management methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, VCP, ITIL).
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell scripting).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset for our Montreal office.
