Job Description
Are you ready to tackle a physically demanding yet highly rewarding role? Walmart is seeking dedicated and strong individuals to join our team as Loaders in our Omaha distribution center. This position involves manual loading and unloading of merchandise, ensuring efficient movement of goods within the facility. This is a critical role that supports our entire retail operation, ensuring products reach our stores and customers efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually load and unload freight, merchandise, and other materials from trucks, containers, and shelves.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided).
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests or invoices.
- Sort and stack materials according to designated procedures, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Excellent physical stamina and endurance for prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Basic communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar heavy labor environment.
- Experience operating manual or powered material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
