Job Description
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Aides to join our team in Headingley, Leeds. This rewarding role involves providing essential support to individuals living with mental health conditions, helping them to maintain their independence, improve their wellbeing, and engage positively with their community. You will be a vital part of a supportive team, working directly with service users to implement care plans, assist with daily living activities, and provide emotional support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to individuals living with mental health conditions, encouraging independence and personal growth.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, medication prompting, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support service users in accessing community resources, appointments, and social activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plans.
- Monitor and report changes in service user's physical or mental health to the senior team.
- Engage service users in therapeutic activities and promote a positive and stimulating environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of support provided.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation, including safeguarding and health and safety.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic care.
Required Skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Reliability and strong organisational skills.
- Basic IT literacy for record keeping.

- Willingness to undertake a DBS check (provided by the company).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care or support role, particularly with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of local community resources in Leeds.
