Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Courier Driver to join our team in Georgetown, ON. This role focuses on quiet, premium night routes, ensuring timely and secure delivery of packages. You will be responsible for operating a company vehicle to pick up and deliver various items, primarily to business locations, during non-peak hours. If you are reliable, have a clean driving record, and thrive in an independent work environment, this opportunity with premium night pay is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle on designated overnight routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues.
- Load and unload packages with care, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Deliver packages to various business and residential locations accurately and on time.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with dispatch.
- Represent Purolator professionally at all times.
- Manage time efficiently to meet tight delivery schedules.
Required Skills
- Valid G Class Driver's License (or equivalent provincial license).
- Clean driving record with no major infractions.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg).
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual, with excellent attendance.
- Ability to work independently and navigate efficiently.
- Basic communication skills for interacting with dispatch.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of professional driving or courier experience.
- Familiarity with the Georgetown and surrounding Halton Hills area.
- Experience with handheld scanning devices or delivery technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
