Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Part-time Warehouse Sorters to join our fast-paced weekend team in Madison. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately sorting packages and parcels, ensuring efficient flow through our distribution center. This is a physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort incoming packages and parcels based on destination or type.
- Scan and label items as required using handheld devices.
- Load and unload packages from conveyor belts and carts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet sorting deadlines.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 49 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual attendance, especially for weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience with scanning equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when needed.
