Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Pinterest Business Analyst to join our Strategy & Insights team. In this role, you will be instrumental in leveraging Pinterest data to uncover trends, analyze user behavior, and provide actionable insights that drive business growth and optimize our content and advertising strategies. You will work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives and recommendations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data analysis, a deep understanding of the Pinterest platform, and a passion for turning data into strategic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from Pinterest Analytics, advertising platforms, and other internal tools.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the effectiveness of Pinterest initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization in content, audience targeting, and ad campaigns.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to marketing, product, and sales teams to improve Pinterest performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with Pinterest platform changes, industry best practices, and emerging analytical tools.
  • Present findings and strategic insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests as needed to inform tactical and strategic decisions.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a similar quantitative role.
  • Proven experience working with Pinterest Analytics and advertising platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python) for advanced analytics.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and experimental design.
  • Previous experience in the social media, e-commerce, or digital marketing industry.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
