Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Social Media Sentiment Analyst to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote role involves monitoring various social media channels, analyzing text-based content to determine sentiment (positive, negative, neutral), and providing actionable insights. You will play a crucial role in understanding public perception of brands, identifying emerging trends, and supporting online engagement strategies through meticulous data analysis. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret qualitative data effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor designated social media platforms and online communities for mentions of client brands and industry-related topics.
- Perform sentiment analysis on text-based social media content, accurately categorizing posts as positive, negative, or neutral.
- Identify key themes, trends, and recurring issues within social conversations.
- Generate comprehensive reports detailing sentiment findings, key insights, and recommendations for strategic action.
- Collaborate with marketing, PR, and customer service teams to provide real-time feedback and support online engagement efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices in sentiment analysis.
- Assist in developing and refining sentiment analysis methodologies and processes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in social media monitoring, analysis, or text-based customer support.
- Exceptional written communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with social media listening and analytics tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Sprout Social).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of qualitative data.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms and their user dynamics.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Science, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts or tools.
- Understanding of brand management and public relations principles.
- Previous experience in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and online customer engagement tools.
