Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a Seasonal Tax Prep Assistant for the upcoming tax season. This is a high-volume data entry role critical to the efficient processing of client tax information. You will be responsible for accurately entering financial data, organising client documents, and ensuring all information is prepared for our tax professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced accounting environment and contribute to a successful tax season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately inputting client financial data into tax preparation software and internal systems.
  • Organising and managing physical and digital client documents, ensuring all necessary information is readily available.
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of data before submission to tax preparers.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to tax preparation, such as scanning, filing, and managing correspondence.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of all client information.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Supporting tax professionals with various tasks as needed during peak season.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle high volumes of work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A commitment to confidentiality and data security.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, or an office environment.
  • Familiarity with tax documents or basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with tax preparation software (e.g., CCH, IRIS) is a plus.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
