Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented UPS Metadata Analyst with a strong focus on Machine Learning to join our innovative team. This 100% remote position plays a crucial role in optimizing our vast datasets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability for advanced analytics and machine learning models. You will be instrumental in defining metadata standards, implementing governance policies, and collaborating with data scientists and engineers to enhance data quality and enable cutting-edge predictive capabilities across our global operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement metadata management strategies and governance frameworks tailored for machine learning initiatives.
  • Analyze, profile, and catalog metadata for diverse data sources across UPS systems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and improve data usability for model training and deployment.
  • Ensure metadata accuracy, consistency, and completeness to support high-quality data products and ML model performance.
  • Identify and resolve metadata-related data quality issues, working closely with data owners and technical teams.
  • Design and maintain metadata repositories, ensuring proper documentation and accessibility.
  • Provide expert guidance on metadata best practices, tools, and technologies, particularly those relevant to ML pipelines.
  • Stay current with industry trends in metadata management, data governance, and machine learning.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of metadata management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with large relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated experience with machine learning concepts, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications
