Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate IV Hydration Aide to join our dynamic health and wellness team in Vancouver. This full-time position offers stable hours and focuses on providing exceptional support for our IV hydration therapy services. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in health and wellness, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work meticulously in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in preparing clients for therapy, assisting practitioners, and ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for everyone seeking our advanced wellness solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare IV hydration solutions under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner.
- Greet and prepare clients for their IV therapy sessions, ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Monitor clients during and after IV infusions, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Maintain a sterile and organized clinic environment, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
- Assist with client intake, documentation, and scheduling as needed.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and answer non-medical questions.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including infection control and waste management.
- Support the overall clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow and satisfaction.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare support role (e.g., Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, or similar).
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Experience specifically with IV therapy or phlebotomy.
- Knowledge of health and wellness principles and nutritional supplements.
- A positive attitude and a passion for helping others achieve their wellness goals.
