Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Appliance Fulfillment Staff to join our team in Overland Park, Kansas. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling, staging, and loading of major appliances for customer delivery or pickup. This is a crucial position that ensures our customers receive their purchases promptly and in perfect condition, directly supporting our big-box retail operations. You will work within a fast-paced warehouse environment, collaborating with sales, logistics, and delivery teams to optimize the customer experience. A strong focus on safety, organization, and customer satisfaction is paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, stage, and load large appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, etc.) for customer pickups and deliveries.
- Verify product against order sheets for accuracy, ensuring correct models and quantities.
- Perform quality checks on appliances for any damage or defects before fulfillment.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the appliance fulfillment area.
- Communicate effectively with sales associates, delivery drivers, and customers regarding order status and potential issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving new shipments and conducting cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, often up to 75 lbs or more, with assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic computer literacy for order lookup and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or fulfillment setting, particularly with large items.
- Certification to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
