Job Description
Are you a friendly, enthusiastic individual looking to kickstart your career in retail? Tesco in Bridgwater is seeking dedicated Cashier / Customer Service Assistants with no prior experience necessary! We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about providing excellent service, have a positive attitude, and are eager to learn. In this role, you’ll be the face of Tesco, helping customers with their purchases, answering queries, and ensuring a smooth and pleasant shopping experience. Full training will be provided, so all you need is a willingness to engage and a commitment to our values.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers, answering questions and resolving issues.
- Maintain a clean and tidy checkout area and help with general store presentation.
- Assist customers with self-service tills, offering guidance and support.
- Handle cash and card payments securely, adhering to company policies.
- Promote special offers and loyalty programs to customers.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Replenish stock shelves when required and support in other store areas as needed.
