Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Holistic Nurse Practitioner to join our Integrative Health Center in Provo. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive primary and preventative care, emphasizing holistic approaches to patient health and wellness. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans that integrate conventional medical practices with a range of holistic modalities. This position requires a deep understanding of wellness, lifestyle medicine, and patient education, empowering individuals to take an active role in their health journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, health histories, and diagnostic tests, with a holistic perspective.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, incorporating integrative and functional medicine principles.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that include conventional treatments, nutrition, lifestyle modifications, mind-body therapies, and other evidence-based complementary approaches.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, registered dietitians, chiropractors, acupuncturists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as appropriate within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the growth and development of the Integrative Health Center.
- Advocate for patients, promoting shared decision-making and patient-centered care.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Utah RN and APRN licensure.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), or similar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for holistic and integrative health principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or advanced training in Functional Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, or other integrative health modalities.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems specific to integrated care models.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Prior experience in an outpatient clinic or private practice setting focused on wellness and preventive care.
