Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior Aesthetic Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is an immediate hire opportunity for individuals eager to launch or advance their career in medical aesthetics. As a Junior Aesthetic Practitioner, you will work closely with our experienced dermatologists and senior practitioners, assisting in various cosmetic procedures, providing patient care, and contributing to the smooth operation of our clinic. This role offers comprehensive training and mentorship, making it an ideal position for a recently certified professional or someone with limited experience looking for a solid foundation and growth within a reputable practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior practitioners and dermatologists during a variety of aesthetic procedures, including laser treatments, injectables, and chemical peels.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care instructions to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
- Perform basic aesthetic treatments such as facials, microdermabrasion, and skin analyses under supervision.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment details thoroughly.
- Educate patients on skincare products and regimens, recommending appropriate solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory of supplies and notify senior staff of restocking needs.
- Contribute to a positive and professional patient experience.
Required Skills
- Completion of an accredited Aesthetician or Esthetician program.
- Current state licensure or certification as an Aesthetician/Esthetician.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A keen eye for detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6-12 months of experience in a medical spa or dermatology setting.
- Knowledge of various skincare product lines and ingredients.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
