Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Technical Support Scribe to join our remote Level 1 IT Support team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for meticulously documenting technical support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Your work will ensure accurate record-keeping, facilitate knowledge sharing, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our support processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Document detailed notes for all Level 1 technical support interactions, including user reported issues, diagnostic steps, and resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company's knowledge base and ticketing system.
  • Ensure all documentation adheres to established company standards and protocols.
  • Assist in creating and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting guides based on support trends.
  • Collaborate with Level 2 support and other IT teams to improve documentation quality and information flow.
  • Identify common issues and suggest improvements for self-service options and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new technologies, products, and support tools.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional written communication and grammar skills.
  • Proven ability to document complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and common software applications.
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems and knowledge base platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Technical Communication, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a data entry, administrative support, or technical writing role.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace).
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation).
