Job Description
Join Sunrun as a Solar Panel Cleaning Crew member and play a vital role in ensuring optimal performance for our customers’ solar energy systems. This outdoor role requires individuals who are comfortable with physical work, committed to safety, and eager to contribute to the clean energy revolution. You’ll be part of a dedicated team, working at various residential and commercial sites to maintain the efficiency and longevity of solar installations. We offer comprehensive training, a high hourly rate, and the opportunity to work outdoors in a growing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely access and clean solar panels on residential and commercial rooftops or ground arrays.
- Utilize specialized cleaning equipment and techniques to remove dirt, dust, pollen, and other debris.
- Inspect panels for any visible damage or issues, reporting findings to the team lead.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines, including working at heights and ladder safety.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
- Maintain and care for company equipment and vehicles.
- Provide exceptional service and represent Sunrun professionally on every job site.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, sun, light rain).
- Comfortable with physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures or willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in outdoor maintenance, cleaning, or construction roles.
- Comfortable working at heights on rooftops with appropriate safety gear.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with solar energy systems is a plus, but not required.
