Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for a dynamic part-time job that fits your schedule? Whole Foods Market in Brooklyn is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for a High School Stock Replenishment role in our grocery retail environment. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to learn the ropes of retail operations, gain valuable work experience, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. You’ll be responsible for keeping our shelves fully stocked, organized, and appealing to our customers, ensuring they always find what they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently replenish shelves and display cases with new products, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO).
- Organize and front-face products to maintain an attractive and customer-friendly store appearance.
- Assist in receiving and unpacking deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality.
- Monitor product freshness and expiration dates, removing and reporting expired or damaged items.
- Maintain clean and organized aisles, stockrooms, and work areas.
- Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers when needed, directing them to products or team members.
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely after proper training (if applicable).
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for inventory and stocking tasks.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in high school or recently graduated.
- Prior experience in a retail or grocery setting is a plus, but not required.
- A passion for natural and organic foods.
