Job Description

Orkin is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Pest Control Technicians in El Paso, TX. No prior experience is required – we provide all the necessary training to transform you into a skilled professional. You’ll learn the science of pest control, the art of customer service, and how to effectively manage your own route. This is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy working independently, solving problems, and being out in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive paid training to become a certified pest control technician.
- Learn to identify various pests, their habits, and appropriate treatment methods.
- Safely and effectively apply pest control products in accordance with company standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing exceptional service.
- Manage a designated route, performing inspections and treatments for residential and commercial clients.
- Document services provided, customer interactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Operate and maintain company vehicle and equipment in a clean and safe manner.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, company policies, and industry regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- A mechanical aptitude or experience with tools.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and in confined spaces.
