Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Cold Storage Associate to join our team in Fresno, CA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and retrieval of various food products within our state-of-the-art cold storage facility. We provide all necessary freezing gear to ensure your comfort and safety in the cold environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently in a cold storage environment.
- Load, unload, and move products within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment, verifying product quantity and quality.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with receiving and stocking incoming products, checking for damages or discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cold storage environment (temperatures ranging from -10°F to 35°F).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or cold storage setting.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
