Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Policy Professional to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to critical policy initiatives across various sectors, from government and public safety to technology and social programs. As a Policy Professional, you will play a pivotal role in researching, analyzing, and developing policy recommendations that address complex challenges and drive meaningful change. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the USA, collaborating with a nationwide network of experts and stakeholders. Your work will directly support our clients in understanding regulatory landscapes, anticipating future trends, and crafting strategies for effective implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of existing and proposed policies, regulations, and legislation.
- Develop detailed policy briefs, reports, presentations, and other communication materials for diverse audiences.
- Engage with stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, academic experts, and advocacy groups.
- Formulate evidence-based policy recommendations and strategic advice for clients.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at federal, state, and local levels.
- Assist in the design and evaluation of policy programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate policy insights into broader consulting projects.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in policy analysis, public administration, government relations, or a related field.
- Proven ability to conduct rigorous research and synthesize complex information into clear, concise findings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience crafting policy documents and presentations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes in the USA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- Experience working with federal government agencies or state-level policy initiatives.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) or policy modeling software.
- Project management experience, particularly in a consulting or government contracting setting.
- Certifications in relevant policy areas or research methodologies.
