Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Tour Bus Operator with a special focus on National Parks. This unique role involves operating state-of-the-art tour buses, ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers, and contributing to an unforgettable travel experience as they explore America’s breathtaking national treasures. While driving is your primary responsibility, you’ll also be an integral part of the tour experience, assisting passengers and upholding our high standards of service. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tour buses on scheduled routes, primarily to and from National Parks across the USA.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, maintaining detailed logs and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and comfortable environment within the bus for all passengers.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, tour guides, and company management regarding schedule changes, delays, or emergencies.
  • Manage passenger manifests and ensure accurate headcount for each leg of the journey.
  • Be prepared to assist with minor roadside adjustments or troubleshooting as needed, with support from maintenance teams.
  • Represent Coach USA professionally and courteously to all passengers and the public.

Required Skills

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with Passenger (P) endorsement and Air Brake restriction removed.
  • Minimum of 2 years (24 months) of verifiable commercial driving experience.
  • Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong geographical knowledge and ability to navigate using GPS and maps.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and extended tours.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating tour buses or motor coaches.
  • Familiarity with National Parks routes and regulations.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
