Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Part-time Scheduling Clerk to join our team at the local UPS hub in Meridian, ID. This position is ideal for individuals looking for consistent afternoon work and plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics processes. The Scheduling Clerk will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, primarily focused on maintaining accurate schedules, coordinating resources, and supporting the overall operational flow during the afternoon shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of daily, weekly, and monthly operational schedules for package sorting and delivery staff.
- Monitor real-time operational needs and adjust schedules as required to optimize efficiency and address unexpected changes.
- Communicate scheduling updates and changes effectively to relevant team members and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of employee work hours, attendance, and scheduling preferences.
- Prepare various reports related to operational performance and staffing levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of resources.
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and responding to inquiries.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual attendance
Preferred Qualifications
