Job Description
Are you looking for a physically engaging role that offers great pay? Discount Tire in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Tire Warehouse Mover. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload tires and wheels from delivery trucks and containers.
- Move, stack, and organize tires and wheels within the warehouse according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory by properly stocking shelves and identifying products.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, as needed (training provided if necessary).
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently lift and move heavy objects (50-100+ lbs) throughout the workday.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and carrying.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or physically demanding role.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management practices.
- Experience operating a forklift or other warehouse machinery (certification is a plus).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
